 With
many published opinions, as well as
non-published appellate results, the
appellate department of KDEK
has successfully represented
numerous clients before the California
Supreme Court, all of the California
Courts of Appeal, and the Ninth Circuit
Court of Appeal. Representative issues
include the right to present opposing
argument in a writ of mandate proceeding,
co-worker liability for sexual harassment,
statutory interpretation of the Government
Code, and professional liability for
alleged sexual battery. We have also
successfully defended appellate challenges
to the grant of non-suits, directed
verdicts, and jury verdicts on behalf
of the defense.
