Erik A. Laakkonen is an associate.  He litigates Healthcare and Construction-related claims throughout California.  Prior to joining KDEK, he attended Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California, where he graduated with honors and served as Chief Notes Editor of the school’s law review.  

Erik has published two recent law review articles: Mistreating the Treaty Clause, 28 Thomas Jefferson Law Review 237 (Fall 2005) and Up in Smoke? Narragansett, Hicks and the Erosion of Tribal Sovereign Immunity, 11 Journal of Gender, Race & Justice (University of Iowa College of Law) 453 (Spring 2008).
